that is absolutely true. john chambers played by john goodman, the make-up artist in hollywood who won an oscar for "planet of the apes," he was secretly working as a cia agent, as a man who was designing prosthetics and disguises for cia assets all over the world. that character of a man in a make-up trailer making "planet of the apes" masks who by night is working for the cia, that's absolutely real. >> let me ask about something that slate has written about this. a criticism in case you haven't heard it. "much of the stuff "argo" leaves out is even better than what made it in. for example, the downplaying of the canadian involvement in the rescue." how do you make the choices -- first of all, how does that make you feel? do you pay attention to that? how do you make the choices in terms of what to leave out and what to put in? >> you feel that many of your sins are sins of omission. if we actually told everything that was happening, we'd have a 12-hour miniseries or longer. there are all kinds of canadian heroes in this. pat and ken taylor, john and xena sheerdown, canadian dipl

these comments by senator john mccain, certainly a war hero. he thinks allow iing women to partake in this way is a great idea. he says they should be recognized for their service for the military. how is it -- this is a man who speaks from a wealth of experience. so, what do you say to that? >> right. well, i agree with the last part. women are promoted at rates equal to or faster than men. it's been that way for decades. but surely he knows better. he talked about navy s.e.a.l.s. this is not a g.i. jane movie with demi moore. there is no way that you can integrate that type of community and say that it would improve that community. no. it would just complicate matters. when you complicate matters in close combat, attacking the enemy, that's when lives are put at greater risk than they need to be. it's not fair to the women. it's not fair to the men. this is not just a gift to women for valentine's day. >> let me give zoe the last word here. >> regarding the promotion matter, women have been treated very equally. you're not seeing quotas for women at the top certainly because they're

. what does this mean for jonbenet's father, john ramsey? anything? >> no. i think in the end -- no, other than something that will be of great interest for a couple of days until the story passes. i would add something else. subsequent dna analysis in the case seemed to suggest that the ramseys were innocent and had no involvement. there was dna analysis done that wasn't available in the '90s and it seemed to exonerate the ramseys. >> right. >> but nonetheless, this is hurtful to his reputation, that this would come out. >> i want to turn to another case that's been making headlines. we've been talking about it this morning. prosecutor in that small texas town shot dead in an employee parking lot, a block away from the courthouse. witnesses say the gunman was wearing mask -- the gunmen were wearing masks and black clothing. they jumped in a getaway car. but authorities have no leads. have you ever heard of anything like this? >> i have to say it's very rare to see a prosecutor attacked or assassinated in connection with a case he has been prosecuting. there has been an uptick in re
